Governance

Baywood Estates is governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors who are elected by the owners to three year terms.  There are five officers:  President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Member-at-Large.  The Board works to ensure that the community’s best interests are addressed and all voices are heard.  The leadership team is tasked with managing the financial resources of the community (operating funds and long-term investments), short- and long-term planning, conducting meetings, addressing the maintenance of the physical structures and   surrounding greenery, and addressing owners’ concerns efficiently and  effectively.   The Board is dedicated to maintaining unit values and continued viability of the entire community.

The community provides input to the Board via the annual meeting and informational meetings that occur every four months.  The Board meets monthly and posts minutes and summaries of meetings on this site.  As needed, “Notes from the Board” are distributed to keep the community up-to-date on upcoming events and issues.  The Board also uses email distribution and posts text messages to distribute information quickly.  Communication with and participation by owners at meetings is important to the success of our Association.  Since Baywood is a small community, transparency and collaboration are highly valued.

The Association is currently self-managed by the Board of Directors.
